Obituary for Paul W. Shore
Paul W. Shore, 88, of Carlisle, and formerly of Camp Hill, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
Born on September 13, 1929 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Charles and Louise (Starry) Shore and he was the widower of Dawn P. (Lindeman) Shore.
He was a veteran of the US Army National Guard and a retired foreman at Novinger’s Construction Company. He was a longtime member of the Camp Hill Church of God. He and his late wife enjoyed singing at various church events.
Paul is survived by his daughter-in-law, Cindy Shore, of Camp Hill; two grandchildren, Matthew E. Shore and his wife Julie, of Mechanicsburg, and Kristina K. Wright and her husband Sam, of New Cumberland. Three great grandchildren, Elise, Isabel, and Lila Shore.
In addition to his wife, Paul was preceded in death by a son, George E. Shore; a brother, Charles Shore; and two sisters, Grace Smith and Betty Bucher.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday September 29, 2017 at the Camp Hill Church of God, 123 N. 21st St., Camp Hill, PA, 17011, with Pastor Jason Cooksey officiating. A viewing will be held in the church on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Friday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, have been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Camp Hill Church of God, or to the Huntington Disease Society of America, 505 Eight St., Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
