Obituary for Robert M. Snyder
Robert M. Snyder, 55, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey PA, after a long battle with Myotonic Dystrophy.
He was born on September 6, 1962 in Hempstead, NY, to Mary (Wilhelm) Snyder and the late Richard Snyder.
He was a graduate of Red Land High School and Mansfield University. After completing college Robert worked in the insurance business with his father. He was an Eagle Scout, and enjoyed sports with his children, as well as church activities.
In addition to his father, Robert is preceded in death by a brother, Richard H. Snyder Jr.
In addition to his mother Mary, Robert is survived by four children. Ashly N. Jennings, and husband William, Benjamin M. Snyder, and wife Lindsey, Zachary R. Snyder, and Alexis M. Snyder. Robert is also survived by two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 19th at Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA with Rev. Dr. Paul Thompson officiating. A viewing will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Robert’s honor to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Hershey Medical Center, 30 Hope Drive, Suite 1300 Hershey, PA 17033.
