Alan  Hershey
Alan Hershey, 62, of Dillsburg, passed away surrounded by friends and family on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill.
Born on September 19, 1955 in Enid, OK, he was the son of the late Eugene Hershey and Ardith (Williams) Fetters.
Al, a retired Auto Mechanic, was a member of Shepherdstown United Methodist Church and volunteered for several years with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 203.
Al is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jeanie L. (Staub) Hershey, of Dillsburg; a son, Eugene Hershey and his Fiancé’ Shelly, of Slippery Rock, a daughter, Nicole Smeltz and her husband Shawn, of Enola; two brothers, Scott Hershey, of Carlisle, and Terry Hershey, of Franklinton; A sister Amiee Smith; two grandchildren, Shelby and Mikey Smeltz, of Enola, and a cousin, Roy Spellmayer, of Oklahoma.
A memorial service to celebrate Al’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday April 14, 2018 at Shepherdstown United Methodist Church, 1934 S. York St, Mechanicsburg, PA with Rev. Dr. Timothy Baer officiating. In addition to the memorial service the family will also be receiving friends in the church following the service. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
