Kenneth B. Spangler, 78, of Shiremanstown, passed away on Tuesday, August 21st, 2018 at Geisinger Holy Spirit, Camp Hill.
Ken was a graduate of Camp Hill School, later graduating as an electrician from the Williamsport Technical Institute. He later went on to serve in the United States Air Force's 59th Fighter Interceptor Squadron until 1966.
As a civilian he was a Communications Craftsman at AT&T until his retirement in 1990. Ken enjoyed boating on the Susquehanna, bicycling, and spending time with his wife and 4 cats.
Ken was born on March 29th, 1940 and was the son of the late Charles and Muriel Byers Spangler.
He is survived by three sister-in-laws, Colleen L. Fickes (Dalton), of Mechanicsburg; Kathleen M. Reid (Douglas), of New Cumberland; and Donna E. Apgar (Kenneth) of Camp Hill; two brother-in-laws, Donald E. Deckard of Texas; and Thomas C. Deckard (Linda), of Maryland; three nieces, Trina, Erin, and Courtney; five nephews, Donnie, Matt, Scott, Jamie, and Nathan; and also several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is preceded in passing by his wife of 50 years, Patricia M. Spangler, who passed away in March of this year.
