Catalina Colon Kautz, 58, of Middletown, PA, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
Born on December 29, 1962 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, she is the daughter of Damian Colon Cruz, of Lancaster, PA, and the Late Alejandrian Baez Colon Cruz.
Catalina was a master seamstress. She was first taught her sewing skills from her grandmother in Puerto Rico. She owned and operated BMQ Tailors on Derry St. in Harrisburg, PA
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Kautz, of Middletown, PA, a daughter, Annie E. Hernandez and her fiancé Jeff, of Camp Hill, PA, a son, Miguel A. Hernandez, Jr. and his wife Leylany, of Willow Street, PA, five brothers; Damian Colon, who is currently on life support fighting Covid-19, Arnaldo Colon, Roberto Colon, Jose Colon, and Carlos Colon, four sisters; Emma Colon, Margarita Colon, Alejandrina Colon and Nilsa Colon, seven grandchildren, Maria, Jailene, Kaylani, Jonathan, Jazmine, M.J., and Damian, and her loyal dog, Cookie.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in the Cornerstone Fellowship Assembly of God, 32 S Front St, Wormleysburg, PA 17043, with Rev. Rich Cline officiating. A viewing will be held in the church on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the start of the funeral service. Interment will be private and handled at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, Catalina’s family would prefer that financial contributions be made to the Myers-Baker Funeral Home to assist the family with the cost of funeral services. Checks should be made payable to Myers-Baker and please be sure to write “In Memory of Catalina C. Kautz” in the memo line of the check.
