Obituary for Diana L. Wehr (Ghelarducci)
Diana L. Wehr, 77, of Etters, PA, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on June 28, 2020
Born on April 11, 1943 in Canonsburg, PA, she is the daughter of Bert and Pauline (Fox) Ghelarducci, Sr.
Diana was a 1961 graduate of Chartiers Valley Senior High School. Following high school, she joined Teen Challenge where she worked to help people who were struggling with drug dependency. Diana had worked for Radisson Hotels as a front desk receptionist and also with the Blair Foundation, where she would provide transportation to foster children so they could meet their biological parents. Most recently she worked for Holy Spirit Hospital for 9 years as a patient sitter, keeping watch on patients that were prone to falling. She was a member of the Christ Community Church in Camp Hill and was a former bible teacher at Heritage Cathedral. Diana was dedicated to spread the love of Jesus to the world thru her love, eyes, and her touch. She loved the people around her and she was a true people person. She loved people so much that she sacrificed her own needs to meet the needs of those around her. Diana was loving, compassionate, gentle, kind, and humble.
Diana is survived by her husband of 18 years, Ricky S. Wehr, Sr, of Etters, PA; a son, Darren J. Footitt and his wife Ashley, of Mechanicsburg; her twin brother, Don Ghelarducci and his wife Barbara, of Bethel Park, PA; and her older brother, Bert Ghelarducci, Jr., and his wife Rachel, of Bridgeville, PA ; three grandchildren, Naomi, Kylie, and Dalton Footitt, all of Mechanicsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews in the Pittsburgh area.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dylan Footitt, and sister Pauline Smith.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday July 2, 2020 in the Chapel of Peace, located on the grounds of Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011, with Pastor Dave Hess officiating. A viewing for Diana will be held in the Chapel on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be held in the cemetery immediately follow the service. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
