Obituary for Kimm Cooper

Kimm Cooper, 76, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Messiah Village at Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg, PA.

Born on April 18, 1946, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late LeRoy FeniMore and Esther Christine (Hoke) Cooper.

Kimm was a 1964 graduate of Wiconisco High School, he went on to receive his B. S. in Music Education from Elizabethtown College. He received an M. S. Degree in Special Education from Western Maryland College.

He was an elementary school music teacher for over forty years. Kimm loved to play the piano. He played for many theater musicals, performed in numerous theatrical productions and was a substitute organist for many years. Kimm was a member of Shiremanstown Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his sister, Karen Lamb and husband Robert, of Mechanicsburg, PA, a great nephew, Michael Lamb and wife Natalie Hejko, of Brooklyn, NY, a great-grandniece, Audrey Lamb, and a great-grandnephew, Zachary Lamb, both of Brooklyn, NY.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Virginia Nicole Lamb.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 9th, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 44 W Main St, Shiremanstown, PA, 17011. Visitation will be held from 1:30 P.M. until the time of the service, with a light reception to follow the Memorial Service.

Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in Wiconisco Cemetery, Wiconisco, PA.
