Obituary for Marilyn Coreano

Marilyn Coreano, 44, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, PA. Born on March 15, 1977, in New York, NY, she is the daughter of the late Eleuterio and Maria Mercedes (Sanchez) Coreano.

Marilyn was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Conestoga View Nursing Home in Lancaster for over 24 years. She attended San Juan Bautista Church in Lancaster, PA.

Marilyn loved all types of music – from New Kids on the Block, to Elton John, from Spanish music to Today hits. She also loved to cook Spanish food that she learned from her mother and learned to decorate and bake cakes from scratch. She also had an infectious smile and laugh that all her co-workers, friends and family loved.

Marilyn was signed up as an organ donor and her family carried on her wishes. Her selfless act of giving was able to save several people’s lives by giving them the gift of life.

Marilyn was a true lover of animals. She cared for an injured neighborhood squirrel who she named Nutty. Nutty continued to return to the house over the years to visit Marilyn. In addition to Nutty, she leaves behind her three dogs Meeko, Lucky, and Vader, and her cat, Cornelius.

Marilyn is survived by her loving companion, Edgar “Tito” Boscana; her daughter Marina Belle Poole, of Lancaster, PA, her two sons; Justin Brice Poole, and Jor-El Edward Poole, both of Lancaster, PA, her two stepsons; Lealand Boscana, and Urijah Boscana, both of Lancaster, PA, a sister, Melissa Coreano, of Lancaster, PA, two brothers; Elvin Coreano (Karen Michelle), of Lancaster, PA, and Emmanuel Coreano, of Mahanoy, PA, three nieces; Tiana Samantha Coreano, of Auburndale, FL, Naomi Evette Coreano and Emily Marie Coreano, both of Lancaster, PA, and a nephew, Julien Emmanuel Coreano, of Deltona, FL.

In addition to her father Eleuterio, she was preceded in death by her mother, Mercedes, who passed away only 10 days before Marilyn. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Coreano, and a niece, Nina Amber Coreano.
Funeral services for Marilyn will be private and handled at the convenience of her family.
