Obituary for Rose Ann Mease
Rose Ann Mease, 88, a long time resident of Camp Hill, PA and recent resident of Loudonville Assistant Living Residence (Albany NY) for the past two years, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2022.
Rose Ann was the daughter of the late Harry Lindley Sorber and Lorene Clarissa (Hay) Sorber of Friedens, PA. She was a graduate of Somerset Township High School, and Indiana State Teachers College (PA).
Following several years as an elementary school teacher in the Carlisle PA and Camp Hill PA school districts, she decided to work at home while raising her two sons.
Rose Ann was preceded in death by her husband Carl L. Mease whom she was married to for 60 years.
She is survived her two sons David Mease and wife Annette of Lemoyne PA and Kevin Mease, and wife Karen of Latham NY. Rose Ann is also survived by her brother Lindley Sorber and wife Jean of Greensburg PA. She is survived by six grandchildren, two great grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill PA, Indiana State University (PA) alumni association, Camp Hill Women’s Club, along with Somerset and Berlin Historical Societies.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, antique collecting, family genealogy research, and watching Penn State football.
A private service will be held for the family followed by burial in Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
